Demonstrators often stand outside the National Guard Armory in Teaneck. Usually they have an anti-war agenda.
Tonight, demonstrators stood outside to promote a message of thanks instead. The Iraq military operations are finished but anti-war demonstrators say their work is not done.
The demonstrators say as long as there are troops in Afghanistan, they'll be in front of the armory.
There is no official homecoming planned at this time, although officials in New York and Washington, D.C. say they're open to it. However, the federal government is in charge of planning such events and the Pentagon says they have no instructions to plan such an event.
