Deer rescued from well in Franklin Township

Some tense moments were caught on camera while Franklin Township police attempted to free a deer from a well. The police received the call Wednesday evening that a deer had fallen into a well in town.

Some tense moments were caught on camera while Franklin Township police attempted to free a deer from a well.
The police received the call Wednesday evening that a deer had fallen into a well in town. The well was approximately three feet wide and six feet deep.
Police, animal control officers and firefighters used ropes and snares to free the deer from the well. After the deer was pulled up, it quickly ran away.
Rescuers on the scene said it appeared the deer was unharmed.
