? Police are questioning one man in connection with two shootings that occurred Friday night in Newark after an alleged dispute over drugs.
Two men were said to be arguing when one pulled out a gun and shot the other. Lamar Ragin, 27, was shot in the head and died at the scene on the corner of 18th Avenue and Bergen Street. A third man, 34-year-old Eldonte Stile, was shot in the stomach and rushed to a local hospital, though his condition is unknown. Police are unsure if he was an intended target.
Members of the community told News 12 New Jersey that both victims are members of the Bloods gang and were shot because of their gang affiliations.
Police have not said if the man in custody has been charged with a crime.
This is the ninth shooting in Newark since Oct. 24 and the fourth fatality. According to police, there will be 150 additional officers added to the force this weekend to stamp out the recent violence.
