One year from today, on May 7, 2025, anyone who wishes to fly within the United States without a passport is required to have a Real ID compliant driver's license or ID.
Current driver's licenses will still be valid for driving and basic identification but may not be used for domestic flight identification.
A passport, or another federally approved form of identification, may be used in place of Real ID to fly within the United States.
