(AP) - Another dead bottlenose dolphin has beenfound in the same New Jersey river where a debate has raged overwhether a pod of 16 dolphins there could survive the winter. The animal was spotted Tuesday in the Shrewsbury River byworkers on the Route 36 bridge linking Sea Bright and HighlandsTuesday afternoon. It was badly decomposed.
Tests were planned Wednesday to determine whether the deaddolphin was one of those whose presence last year in the ShrewsburyRiver touched off a heated debate.
Some activists wanted to intervene and get the dolphins out ofthe waterway; federal wildlife officials decided to let nature takeits course.
If it is determined to have been part of the river pod, thedolphin would be the fourth from the Shrewsbury to have died.
