An extra hour of sleep doesn't sound too bad, but if you're commuting on Monday you may need to be more careful as a result of Daylight Saving Time.
The experts at AAA New Jersey are warning that the combination between sleep disruptions, and the new sunrise timing, could make for exceptionally dangerous conditions.
The advisory suggests drivers will be dealing with a trifecta of variables: more glare from the sun on the morning commute, less sight on the evening commute, and drivers whose sleep schedules have been disrupted.
There are a few things AAA says you can do to stay safe, including keeping your headlights on to make yourself more visible, and both reducing your speed and increasing the distance between you and the next car.
As always, if you are feeling drowsy you are urged to pull over. The warning points out that the extra hour of sleep can actually cause drowsiness, instead of curing it.
