"You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and there you have - the weather this week in New Jersey.” Only a few of the members of the audience from my generation will get that reference.
TONIGHT: Clouds will be on the increase. Winds from the south and off the ocean will also help keep temperatures from becoming too chilly. Low: 50 (Normal is 43).
TOMORROW: Election Day. There is a slight chance for an early morning shower. This is especially the case in northern New Jersey. But the weather WILL NOT AND SHOULD NOT be an excuse to stop you from going to the polls and doing your civic duty of voting. Most of the day will be cloudy with hints of brightness. The weather story here is going to be the nice warm-up, despite the cover of clouds. We can thank the winds from the Carolinas for that. High: 68 degrees.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Not a whole lot going on except it's a touch chillier. High: 54.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Becoming cloudy. Seasonably chilly. Low: 44.
THURSDAY: Expect on-again, off-again showers in northern parts of the state. High: 59.
FRIDAY: Expect on-again, off-again showers in the southern half of the state as a system slowly sinks through the area. High: 60.
WEEKEND: Mainly sunny but coolish. Highs in the 50s.
