New research from Gambling.com has found that football is the most popular sport in the Garden State, based on Google searches.

The data shows that New Jersey had 172 monthly searches for football per 1,000 people – higher than the United States average of 120.

The data also found that soccer is the second most popular search in New Jersey with 127 monthly searches per 1,000 people. This is much higher than anywhere else in the United States. The average for the U.S. overall is 42 searches per 1,000 people for soccer.

Basketball, golf and baseball rounded out the Top 5.
