Damp morning leads to a gusty afternoon across NJ

Wet leaves and lingering showers end to increasing afternoon gusts up to 25 mph.

FORECAST:
Windy conditions blow across New Jersey today with fusts up to 25 mph. This pulls in cooler and seasonable temperatures for the afternoon high. Today's high will reach near 65 degrees in parts of the state.
The sky will be clear tonight with lows back into the lower 40s with a cool, crisp start to Thursday.
Thursday will be sunny with passing thin clouds. More clouds linger in the northern areas of the state. Highs will struggle to get to 60 in the higher elevations where sunshine intensity is also lower due to cloud cover.
The forecast is similar for Friday with maybe a rogue sprinkle or two passing by Warren/Sussex/western Morris counties in the afternoon.
It will be otherwise dry with more clouds over northern New Jersey. Temperatures will be near 60 degrees.
The weekend is gorgeous. High colors for the fall foliage are reported in the interior portions of New Jersey.
