Crews began salting roads at 7 p.m. Monday ahead of freezing rain hitting the area overnight.
Morris County OEM Director Jeff Paul says ice is a major threat despite the roads being salted ahead of time.
Also, following a massive storm that hit New Jersey two weeks ago, the state hasn't gotten a break from wintry weather.
Crews say roads will be much easier to clean overnight as they don't have to deal with drivers.
