A former power plant cooling station in Cape May County has been imploded.
The B.L. England Generating Station in the Beesley's Point section of Upper Township was a landmark for thousands of travelers who took the Garden State Parkway to Cape May and Ocean City.
The tower has been there since 1974.
The implosion happened Thursday morning.
Authorities say it was unlikely any nearby residents felt the implosion’s impact.
