It’s been a competitive and inspiring week in Minnesota as athletes from across the country gathered for the Special Olympics USA Games and Team New Jersey made its mark.
A total of 109 athletes, partners and coaches represented the Garden State, competing across multiple events including swimming and bowling. As the games wrap up, Team New Jersey is closing out a strong showing with a total of 54 medals, including 20 gold.
Beyond the medal count, this week was about more than competition. Athletes emphasized camaraderie, effort and support by cheering on teammates, building friendships and celebrating every personal victory along the way.
For Team New Jersey, the trip to Minnesota was a reminder that the true win goes beyond the podium.
