A section of the Red Carpet Inn on Route 130 in Brooklawn collapsed on Thursday.
Firefighters say they arrived on the scene around 5 p.m. and confirmed the rear building had collapsed and began a primary search while evacuating adjacent rooms.
Crews secured utilities and assisted with evacuation and secondary searches. They remained on-site for about two hours supporting the construction official and PSE&G.
No injuries were reported.
