The Cranford Theater has officially reopened after it closed back in April due to a partial ceiling collapse.
The county’s only family-run theater went through months of renovations, just in time for Thanksgiving.
"We were able to reopen the theater right in time, not only for Thanksgiving weekend, which is one of the biggest weekends of the year in the movie business but also in time for the theater's birthday coming up this weekend. We've fully renovated the whole interior of the theater so brand-new everything, brand-new carpeting, new colors, new design. We've modernized parts of the theater but also held onto the classic charm of cinema,” said owner Doreen Sayegh.
The reopening consisted of a ribbon-cutting and then attendees were able to purchase tickets and see a movie immediately afterward.
They are also offering tickets on sale for Thanksgiving week movies and have upcoming special events.
