Some Cranford homeowners are fired up over a massive, power line that will run directly under their homes.
Locust Drive is one of six streets where the cable will run in order to provide electricity to about 300,000 homes. Residents worry that a cable that powers so many homes may cause shocks and health concerns. They want the line moved to a commercial area.
The electric company says the location is near several substations and was picked well in advance. Officials say no studies show adverse health affects from such cables, but they are willing to look into homeowners? concerns.
