COVID-19 restrictions and concerns are still lingering as the state prepares for this weekend's Fourth of July celebration.
News 12 meteorologists say there will be nearly perfect summer weather over the next three days, except for some possible thunderstorms later Friday.
Belmar Business Administrator Ed Kirscenbaum is ready to close down beaches if necessary if it gets too crowded.
The owner of MamaLukes pizzeria believes beachgoers have been following the rules, adding business has been fantastic so far this summer.
“We just need to keep going and I hope people are respecting the 6-foot distances and wearing their masks when they come up to the counter," said Tom Rogers.

"Basically when we walk onto the beach…when you're walking by people, you wear it,” says Brian Leite. “When you walk into a restaurant, wear it, and once you sit in your spot on the beach…you take your mask off."
Kirscenbaum says ownership at D'Jais is very much prepared to handle the crowds properly this weekend when it comes to social distancing.
Gov. Phil Murphy says he hopes that people will continue to wear masks and social distance during the holiday weekend.
