Police said a teen was killed Tuesday in a shooting at a Paterson apartment complex.

Amor Noian is shocked by her brother Jean Carlos Noain's death. "He didn't even have a life, he was just starting high school," Noian said. "So now he's not even going to be here anymore. He is not going to enjoy his life. He's not going to be able to go to college or do anything."

A friend of Noain said that he was shot seven times while riding his bike at an apartment complex on 218 Slater St.

Friends and family gathered at the location of the shooting to mourn the loss of the 14-year-old teen. Andrew Morales grew up with Noian. Morales said "We made promises to each other. Now that he's gone, [it] doesn't mean our promises are gonna be broken. I will live my life to the fullest for both of us."

Friends said they are not sure what he was doing in that area because he lives across town. They also said they do not understand why someone would want to kill him.

Police have not made any arrests and detectives did not disclose possible motives.
