Two little boys in New Brunswick are without a father after he was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver.
Police say it happened near Georges Road and South Talmadge Street just before 11 p.m. last night.
Security cameras recorded video of Leonel Lopez Hernandez, 26, riding his bike. The young father and husband was pedaling home from his custodian job at Bristol-Myer Squibb. Less than two minutes later, a dark-colored SUV can be seen racing from the area.
Lopez Hernandez's wife, Francisca, says she's devastated. She is five months pregnant with the couple's third child, a daughter. The family is pleading with people in the mostly Spanish- speaking neighborhood to call police if they saw or know anything.
Authorities say they're looking for a dark colored Toyota 4-Runner with front-end damage on the driver's side and a shattered rear window.
