A convicted child molester has been indicted on several sex charges for allegedly trying to lure more children.
Kenneth Walker allegedly tried to arrange a sexual encounter in February with someone he thought was underage. The U.S. Department of Justice found out about Walker's Internet activity and contacted the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
Walker was first convicted of aggravated criminal sexual contact in 1991. He used his position as a volunteer supervisor for a youth organization in Piscataway to victimize boys, according to law enforcement.
When he was released from jail, he moved to Long Beach Island to live with his aunt. He was arrested again in 1998 for similar crimes.
His neighbors say they originally did not know Walker was a sex offender because he did not register under Megan's Law.
"We thought he was a fine person," says neighbor Faith Henrick. "We didn't know anything was wrong with him."
Walker remains on the Ocean County Jail on $200,000 bail.
