Complicated weather pattern brings dreary weather back to the Garden State

A series of storms keeps New Jersey under the cover of an umbrella. It’s great for the lawns, not so good for our spirits.

It was a magical Monday weather-wise, with sun and temperatures in the 70s. I hope you soaked some of it in. Changes are on the way.
Starting tomorrow afternoon, the pattern flips back to an overcast, showery stretch. Just how long is the million-dollar meteorological question? Based on the latest guidance, it's possible we could have on-and-off showers through early Saturday morning.
Now, let me stress that Wednesday looks to be the more consistent, state-wide wet weather event where just about every neighborhood will likely see some sort of an accumulation in the rain gauges. Thursday, Friday and early Saturday will see more clouds than anything else, with a few pop-up showers and isolated thunderstorms roaming our skies.
Temperatures this week, because of an onshore wind, look to be cooler than average. Normal high is 72. Tomorrow and Wednesday will only be in the low to mid-60s. The afternoon highs the rest of the week will be normal to above normal. Thursday and Friday, because of the above-average warmth, might have a few renegade thundershowers to deal with. I highly doubt that any one storm becomes severe.
