Cloudy and cool with some sprinkles today, more rain possible midweek

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Mike Rizzo says there will be mostly cloudy skies with some breaks of sun and temps in lower 70s today. There will also be a few sprinkles later this evening as a system off to the west finally reaches New Jersey.

There is a coastal flood advisory in effect for today as the high tide cycle continues to run high causing minor flooding in most prone low-lying areas.
FORECAST:
This week will be mostly cloudy with limited sunny moments. Today's high will be 70 degrees with stray afternoon sprinkles as a weather system is weakening as it moves toward NJ. The sprinkles won't warrant the umbrella.
Tonight's lows will be in the mid-50s.
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy and pleasantly cool with highs near 71.
Wednesday's weather will be cloudy with scattered rain showers. Highs will also be in the upper 60s or near 70 degrees. The showers will not be heavy, but they can linger into Thursday.
Thursday will be similar with scattered showers and an otherwise cloudy sky.
Conditions improve on Friday with some sunny breaks, but not many.
The weekend looks fair but breezy at this time.
