A 14-year-old girl from Clifton is facing child pornography charges for allegedly posting nude shots of herself on MySpace.

If convicted, the teenager could be forced to register as a sex offender. The pictures in question were discovered in a search by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The organization originally believed the shots were posted by a predator, but now believes the girl posted them online to show her boyfriend. Authorities say due to the girl's age, the photographs are illegal no matter who posted them.

MySpace has refused to comment on the investigation.
