Police are reminding residents that there has been an increase in motor vehicle thefts where suspects enter occupied residences to remove key fobs to high end vehicles. They advise residents to lock doors and windows. They also say to secure key fobs in Faraday bags or boxes and in locations that are not near points of entry.
Police say there has been an increase in thefts of certain Kia and Hyundai vehicles. If you own a Kia or Hyundai, police encourage you to check with your dealer to see if your vehicle is affected.
