Central Jersey is cleaning up after the deadly storms Thursday evening.

PSE&G says power has been restored to all customers, but the City of Plainfield remains under a state of emergency.

The city says there were 20,000 outages reported citywide in the immediate aftermath of the storm.

The senior center is still open to residents impacted by the storm and water is available at the Plainfield Police Department on the Court Place side.

The city says parks and public pools remain closed today due to ongoing safety concerns and debris removal.

Plainfield officials confirmed two people, 79-year-old Rocco Sansone and 25-year-old Brian Ernesto Valladares, were killed when a tree fell on their vehicle on Myrtle Avenue Thursday night.

North Plainfield officials confirmed a 44-year-old Middlesex woman died when a tree fell on her car on Greenbrook Road. Police said she had pulled over during the storm.

The National Weather Service says straight-line winds up to 80 mph caused this type of damage.
