Council members in the Bronx are supporting a bill they say will help protect customers and restaurant workers who suffer from food allergies.
With millions of people suffering from food allergies, the City Council is voting on a new bill that would require restaurants to post information about food allergies.
The City Council says posters listing the information will be ready in about five to six months. The Department of Health is expected to issue $100 fines to restaurants that are not in compliance by that time.
