Gov. Chris Christie will participate in the first GOP 2016 presidential debate hosted by Fox News.
The news organization announced the participants Tuesday evening. Ten candidates were chosen based on polling. Christie was No. 9 on the list.
Those not making the cut include Rick Santorum, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Carly Fiorina - the only woman in this year's GOP field.
The debate will air on Fox News Channel Thursday evening.
