Gov. Chris Christie will not be on the main stage at next week's Republican presidential debate due to low poll numbers.

Gov. Christie will join Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum and Bobby Jindal for the undercard debate held before the prime-time debate on Tuesday.

Experts say it marks a significant setback for Christie, but the setbacks do not appear to be slowing down his campaign. The governor filed for New Hampshire's primary ballot with his wife Mary Pat by his side. That primary will be on Feb. 9. 

"Doesn't mean a whole lot of anything," Christie said of the debate. "You know, the fact is that we are going to be debating on Tuesday night. I'll be talking about the things I want to talk about, you know. A national poll that is one snapshot in time means nothing to me."

Friday afternoon Donald Trump tweeted that he wanted Gov. Christie and Huckabee on the main stage with him.

"They kept Rand Paul on the main stage. Let's get Huck and Christie back," tweeted Trump. He added in another tweet that both men are "solid and good guys."

Former New York Gov. George Pataki and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham both failed to make the cut for the undercard debate and will not appear.
