(AP) - New Jersey Republican gubernatorialcandidate Chris Christie has laid out a plan to crack down oncorruption.
Wednesday's announcement in Paramus follows last month's arrestsof 44 people, including lawmakers and rabbis, in a federal sting.
The former federal prosecutor says he'd ban lawmakers fromholding more than one elected position.
Gov. Jon Corzine, who is seeking re-election, signed adual-officeholding ban for future lawmakers after the Legislaturefailed to deliver a measure covering those already elected.
Christie criticized Corzine's leadership on ethics. Christiesaid he'd urge the resignation of any elected official charged withcorruption. Corzine did that in the latest case, but Christie saysCorzine was less vocal in previous cases.
