Five of the 50 wealthiest towns in the United States are located in New Jersey, according to a report in Bloomberg.
If you have a lot of money, there is no limit to the type of place you can call home in the Garden State. News 12 New Jersey was able to get a tour of some of the homes in these wealthiest towns.
First up is 33 Prospect Ave. in Upper Montclair.
“The square footage of the home is 7,900 square feet, eight bedrooms, five full baths,” says realtor Susan Derosa. “The backyard, the pool, the master suite, the gym.”
The home also has an original Otis Elevator Company elevator. The upper floors of the home also have a view of New York City.
The listing prices for the home is $2.4 million, according to Derosa.
Another one of the wealthiest towns is Rumson in Monmouth County. News 12 was provided with a tour of 10 Edwards Point Road – a 7,200-square feet home that includes eight bedrooms, 4.5 baths and is located on the water. There is even a koi pond in the backyard. The home is listed at $3.5 million.
“A lot of the homes, especially back here on Edwards Point, they’re all within the same caliber,” says realtor Dana Cirincione.
The other wealthy New Jersey towns in the top 50 include Glen Ridge, Short Hills and Upper Saddle River. Bloomberg also reports that 16 New Jersey towns were in the top 100 wealthiest towns in the country.
