Winter and spring storms left their mark on some Jersey Shore towns, and some beaches won't be open for Memorial Day weekend.
Beaches from Seventh Avenue in North Wildwood all the way to 19th Avenue will be closed at least this weekend as crews continue to replenish the beaches.
Strong storms in April and May washed a lot of the sand that was stored along the shoreline to replenish the beaches.
Officials are asking visitors, for safety reasons, to stay off the large piles.
Several other beaches will be open for visitors, and lifeguards will be out starting Saturday.
