Celtic Crossing in Kings Park shut down again after underage drinking allegations

Celtic Crossing, a bar in Kings Park, was forced to close its doors again Wednesday after the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) suspended its liquor license—less than a week after the establishment allegedly served alcohol to more than 200 underage patrons.
Suffolk County police officers were seen clearing patrons from the building as the shutdown took effect.
The latest closure follows the arrest of three bartenders over the weekend. Authorities say the staff members were serving hundreds of underage individuals Saturday night.
The Smithtown Fire Marshal had previously issued 10 code violations to the bar, but according to a town spokesperson, those violations were resolved by Sunday, allowing Celtic Crossing to briefly reopen. That changed once the SLA intervened, pulling the bar’s liquor license effective immediately.
Kings Park resident Mike Darpa said he supports small businesses in the community but believes accountability is essential.
“It’s a business. It’s a local business. I’m all for local businesses but you’ve got to play by the rules, and if you don’t, this is the result,” he told News 12.
According to the SLA, the owners of Celtic Crossing are entitled to a prompt hearing on the matter.
