Video of the fight was posted on social media.
A spokesperson for United Airlines says that the employee worked for a subsidiary of the airline and has been fired.
The flyer is former Denver Broncos cornerback Brendan Langley. He was arrested and charged with simple assault.
It was not immediately clear what prompted the fight.
