One newborn can now claim a different birthday from his twin brother after being born minutes apart in different years.

Twin boys Ezra and Ezekiel, of Merchantville, were born just as the new year rang in — but Erza was born Sunday on New Year’s Eve at 11:48 p.m. in 2023, according to Virtua Health.

Ezekiel was born on New Year’s Day about 40 minutes later at 12:28 a.m., making him one of the first babies in the state to be born in 2024.

Virtua Health welcomed nearly 9,000 babies in 2023. They say parents Eve and Billy are thrilled that their boys are healthy and will have a great birthday story to tell.

The twins also have an older brother who will turn three years old on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
