An attempted home break‑in in Clifton led to a head‑on crash with a police car.

Police say three men wore ski masks and used a crowbar to try forcing their way into a home on Haussler Terrace.

The suspects sped away after noticing someone was home.

Officers tracked down the car, which led to a chase that ended in the head‑on crash and injured an officer. A handgun was recovered at the scene.

All three men face attempted burglary and related charges.
