Bronx Week kicks off at Gun Hill Brewery

Bronx Week kicked off Monday in the borough. The kickoff took place at the Gun Hill Brewery. There was food, music, and Bronx residents including Grammy Award-winning hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz.

Bronx Week kicked off Monday in the borough.
The kickoff took place at the Gun Hill Brewery. There was food, music, and Bronx residents including Grammy Award-winning hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz. Actor David Zayas from the hit TV show "Dexter" was also in attendance.
The 11-day celebration highlights the area as a great place to live, work and raise a family. It officially begins on Thursday.
Five people will also be inducted into the Bronx Walk of Fame, including Swizz Beatz and David Zayas. Other inductees are actresses Rachel Ticotin and Priscilla Lopez, as well as Jets offensive guard Willie Colon.
The grand finale of Bronx Week will be a concert on May 18 featuring Rakim, Tony Vega and Elle Varner.
