An Ocean County couple is home safe after they say they were among the 4,200 passengers aboard the Costa Concordia, a luxury cruise ship that ran aground off the coast of Italy on Friday.
The couple spoke with APP.com about what happened. They say that everyone was pushing and shoving to get on rescue boats and that they weren't going to push someone out of the way to get on a rescue boat.
The cruise ship is still on her side in the pristine waters surrounding Giglio Island off the Tuscany coast. Officials say 29 people are still missing from the cruise ship.
The chairman and CEO of the cruise line says the captain made an unauthorized change-of-course that led to the crash. That captain is behind bars. He's being investigated for manslaughter, abandoning the ship and causing a shipwreck.
