A boil water advisory has been issued in Jersey City after a 24-inch water main ruptured Monday night.
The break took place around 9:45 p.m. near Route 7 and Charlotte Circle.
The ruptured main flooded streets making driving conditions difficult. Residents on the city's west side may have low water pressure.
United Water says samples were taken and the results will be sent to the Department of Environmental Protection to see if there are contaminants in the water.
Crews are still at the scene. Residents are being asked to continue boiling their water until further notice.
