Bogota man arrested for DWI in connection to pedestrian struck in Teaneck
A Bogota man was arrested and charged in connection with a pedestrian crash in Teaneck that left a man seriously injured, the Bergen County Prosecutor's office said.
Tobias Aparicio Cruz, 55, faces charges including assault by auto and driving while intoxicated.
Police responded about 11:15 p.m. Feb. 14 to Cedar Lane near Teaneck Cinemas for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Investigators said a Nissan Sentra driven by Aparicio Cruz struck a 53-year-old Teaneck man.
The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious injuries and remained hospitalized, authorities said.
Aparicio Cruz was taken into custody at the scene and was in Bergen County Jail pending a court appearance as of Monday night, according to officials.
