Authorities: Body of missing man who fell off paddleboard recovered in Kittatinny Lake

The body of a paddleboarder who went missing for two days was recovered Sunday out of a lake in Sussex County, authorities say.

According to authorities, 61-year-old James Lee, of Sandyston, went missing Friday night at Kittatinny Lake after falling off his stand-up paddleboard. He never reemerged.

Lee was reported missing at 6:44 p.m. Friday at East Shore Trail. His body was recovered Sunday morning.

The investigation remains active as authorities continue to search for details surrounding Lee’s death.
