Saddle Brook police say a homeowner woke up Saturday morning to the sound of their front door closing while their family was sleeping.
Shortly after, the homeowner realized their white 2022 BMW X4 was stolen from in front of their house.
Authorities say an investigation found that someone climbed through a window in the home to steal the key fob from the kitchen. The suspect then ran out the front door and stole the car.
They say the suspect did not attempt to search the house or have any contact with the homeowners.
Several other Bergen County towns have seen a recent spike in similar burglaries.
