This colder outlook continues for Friday into Saturday. There will be a brief warm-up on Sunday and then another dip back below average for next week. This pattern will procrastinate through the first half of December, which could mean a better opportunity for snow.
Fair weather will drift south of New Jersey. The winds will get gustier tonight. As the temperatures drop, the wind and the cooler air will feel colder. Dress for the wind chill tomorrow morning.
The wind could also drive a few squalls through. It will be similar to Thursday morning, but I think the frequency and intensity will be less. For the most part, it will be a mix of clouds and sun. The breeze adds an extra bite to the air.
Saturday starts off sunny. The normal daytime temperature for this time of year is 56 degrees. We will struggle on Saturday to get to 50 degrees. But a weather system will be cruising in our direction with a brief shot of milder air for Sunday.
The issue is that it comes with clouds and showers. It is prolific wet weather, and it happens mainly late Saturday into early Sunday. But a break is a break and you briefly get it on Sunday.
The light rain that moves through unlocks another round of unseasonably cool air for most of next week.
