New Jersey's former governor did not mince words when asked about former President Donald Trump's handling of classified documents.

"How about blame him, he did this," former Gov. Chris Christie said during the Monday town hall on CNN.

"He took documents he wasn't supposed to take, he kept them when they asked for them back, he got a grand jury subpoena he refused to comply and they raided his home finally because he refused to comply," he added.

Christie was even more blunt on Twitter, writing just before midnight after the event that "America can’t be great by being small. It’s time to go big."
