Republican gubernatorial nominee Jack Ciattarelli has selected Morris County Sheriff James Gannon as his running mate.

The announcement was made at a special event hosted by the Morris County Republican Committee at Johnnie's Tavern.

Gannon was first elected sheriff in 2016 and is now serving his third term.

News 12 reached out to Rep. Mikie Sherrill's office about her pick for lieutenant governor. Her team said there is nothing new to share.
