New Jersey restaurants will have to give customers the skinny on calories and fats on the menu if lawmakers have their way.
State leaders want chain eateries to list all nutritional information, including artery-clogging trans fats. Some fast food patrons tell News 12 New Jersey listing the content would be a good, especially for customers with medical problems. However, many people say having the information will only reinforce what customers already know ? fast food isn?t health food.
According to the bill, restaurants that use menu boards would only have to list calorie counts, but they would be required to provide other information upon request.
