Along with addressing the nation, President Biden is doing everything he can to help end the labor dispute between the New Jersey Transit and the Engineers Union.
Biden on Wednesday agreed to assemble a Presidential Emergency Board to preside over the matter.
The board must issue a report by Aug. 23, but the overall process will take at least four months.
NJ Transit and the Engineers Union have been in national mediation for three years.
Their contract expired in 2019.
