Restaurants in Bergenfield are doing their part to help feed health care workers who are dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The owner of Tommy Fox’s says that his restaurant is working with other restaurants in town to deliver hot meals for staff at local hospitals. People have been donating money to buy the meals.
The restaurants work with food and beverage directors at the hospitals to find out what they need each day.

“This is something that I think is helping me feel useful. And talking to the restaurants that I work with, it’s allowing us to help in a way,” says owner Thomas O’Reilly. “We have kitchens. We have staff. We are open, so taking the coordination out to it, knowing what the hospitals needed in certain days, made it better than just turning up with stuff.”
The restaurants have donated more than 500 meals.
