A 31-year-old Englewood Cliffs man has been charged with luring, aggravated criminal sexual contact and child endangerment after allegedly attempting to sexually assault a child in Englewood, authorities said Friday.
Sebastian Nino-Lopez was arrested June 10 following an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Englewood Police Department, according to officials.
The investigation began after Englewood police contacted the prosecutor’s office on June 6 regarding an alleged sexual assault. Authorities said investigators determined Nino-Lopez attempted to sexually assault a juvenile at Mackay Park in Englewood on June 6.
Nino-Lopez was charged with luring, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated criminal sexual contact. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending court proceedings.
