Bergen County saw more than 6 inches of snow on Tuesday. Officials urged people to stay home from work and school due to the conditions.
Kids at Van Saun Park in Paramus made sure to take advantage of the snow day. They were out for most of the morning and afternoon playing and sledding with their friends and family.
“We’re skiers, but Peter wanted to try the board today…It’s really deep powder,” says parent Billy Barovick.
Olive the dog was happy hopping through the powder along with her family too.
With no more snow in the forecast, the Barovick family hopes for another day off from work and school so they can go back out to the park.
“It’s going to be a mess out here, and so why not just give it to us? They’ll probably just give it to us tomorrow. Or a delayed opening at least,” Barovick says.
Parts of Sussex County saw up to 15 inches of snow during Tuesday’s storm – the most in the state.
