An award-winning chef who appeared on the popular competitive cooking show "Chopped" was arrested and charged with selling drugs out of his Bayonne restaurant.
Bayonne police say Arthur R. Saks, 31, was arrested Thursday night at his restaurant, Saks Off Broadway. Saks, who appeared on "Chopped" in 2011, faces drug and weapons charges.
During Saks' arrest, detectives say they found heroin, drug paraphernalia and a gun at the restaurant.
The restaurant was closed by the city's environmental health specialist after police found unsanitary conditions.
