Authorities have announced the indictment of a New
Jersey caretaker, who has been charged with neglect of an elderly disabled
person after she allegedly left her out
in the hot sun for too long.
According
to the Attorney General's office, Valerie Pinchinat, 28, of Linden, was caring
for a resident at Advancing Opportunities in Marlboro back in July of 2019.
Pinchinat is accused of leaving the resident outside
in the hot sun and direct sunlight. The victim suffered a heat stroke and
second-degree burns on her legs, chest and arms.
If convicted Pinchinat, faces three to five years in
prison.
